I am an old lady who started teaching eighteen years ago in the days of handwritten attendance reports, handwritten lesson plans, and handwritten report cards (which contained grades that were determined by calculations... by my own hand). 

Now it is Fall 2009, and I'm being very techno-savvy by writing...a...blog. 

I had to ask my freshmen what-all a blog entails, and they were very interested--and encouraging--that I am trying this.

How amusing that it says "Sorry, there are no blogs available" under my first blog.
