Grading policies

Students' grades will be determined as follows:

• In-Class assignments, participation       15%
• Homework                                              15%
• Quizzes                                                   30%
• Midterm exam                                          20%
• Final exam/Projects                                 20%

Final grades will then be determined by the following scale:

                                        90 -100     A
                                        80 -  89     B
                                        70 -  79     C
                                        60 -  69     D
                                        below 60   F

I will also use Rubrics wherein papers will be scored based on criteria given within the Rubric.   Scores for Writing  may be scored as a 1 - 4:  4=Excellent, 3=Good, 2=Fair, 1=Poor.
