Almost daily, parents and teachers ask me for suggestions of books and other resources to help with issues at home or in the classroom. Please check back periodically to see what new resources I have added to my lists. Some Books in the Guidance Office Library Books for Children---Preschool/Kindergarten, P/K, Grades 1/2, 1/2 Arthur's Pet Business by Marc Brown. NY:Little, Brown, 1990. Arthur wants his own pet but his parents need proof that he can be responsible. Arthur starts a pet sitting service to prove he is ready to be a pet-owner. When her mother falls ill Irene attempts to hand deliver the duchess' gown which her mother has designed. Irene trudges all day through blizzard conditions to get to the palace. Lily wishes that her famil was made of more people other than just she and haer mother until she realizes that it's sharing love that makes the best families.
