Social Studies Vocabulary Geographer- someone who studies the Earth and how it is used Geography- the study of the Earth and how we use it Landforms- the shape of the Earth (mountains, islands, hills, peninsulas, valleys, plains) ancestor- someone who lived long ago Producer- someone who makes or grows something Consumer- Someone who buys something Natural Resource- Something we use that comes from the Earth- water, trees, coal, gas, oil, soil, etc... Crop- something that is grown by a farmer Conservation- the care and protection of land, water, plants, and animals.
