Welcome to Computing in the Modern World

The goal of this course, through "hands-on" instruction is to introduce you to the principles of computer science.  Students will gain a fundamental understanding of the operating of computers and computer networks, and create useful programs implementing simple algorithms.  By developing Web pages that include images, sound, and text, students will acquire a working understanding of the Internet, common formats for data transmission, and insights into the design of the human-computer interface.

Be sure to check the calendar at the beginning of each class period.

If at any time you have questions or need additional help please see me.  I am available before and after school in Room 117.  If you prefer to email me, my email address can be found by clicking the envelope in the upper right hand corner of this page.
