News for the days: November 23rd and 24th The students do not have school Wednesday the 25th for an in-service day and 26th-30th for Thanksgiving. This week we only have 2 days of school! We will be doing our story this week since it has a Thanksgiving theme. It is called, A Turkey for Thanksgiving. We will be touching on irregular plurals in grammar and beginning our spelling lessons. We will NOT have our spelling test until the following week. The following week is our pacing break when we do our testing, so we will finish our lessons next week.

Students will be dismissed at 1:15. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you! The children to NOT have school wednesday the 25th for a teacher in-service day. School will not be held Thursday the 26th to Monday the 30th for Thanksgiving break.
Everyday Reminders: Make sure the "Keep at Home" side of your folder is emptied at home every night. The assignment book on the "Return to School" side will contain your child's homework assignment. The homework, assignment book, and flash card envelopes should all be in the "Return to School" side every night and brought back to school the following day.
I will be sending their spelling words home with the students on Monday in the front pocket of their homework folders. We will have spelling homework most nights, and our spelling tests will always be on Fridays. I would appreciate it if the spellings lists could be sent back to school every day in the folder in case we need them for a school activity. On the spelling tests, you will notice that we began our sentence dictations. You will also notice two more grades on this test. They include a grade for sentence spelling and a grade for capitalization and punctuation. From this point on, the 20 word grade is in red at the top, the applied sentence spelling is in blue at the bottom, and the capitalization and punctuation grade is in green at the bottom. Thank you!
