Currently in 4th Grade
Students will continue to build their reading stamina in fiction using the strategies and skills we have been working on in class. We will be getting back into our normal reading routine; reading 30-40minutes in class and home. Students should be reading at least 3 chapters or 30 minutes at home and completing their response each night. Reading Levels will be tested in a few weeks! The Benchmarks for June of Fourth Grade are as follows: U or above: 4 S-T: 3 Q-R: 2 P or below: 1 We are shifting gears for the end of the year! We will be working out of our Math Steps books for the last 2 months of school. The Math Steps is a program that reviews all of the important learning that we have done all year. We will be working on a variety of skills, many of which should be a review for all the students. Homework will also be assigned in the Math Steps book. Students should continue to practice their multiplication facts daily. Our goal as 4th graders is to master these facts so we can be successful in all our future lessons.
