Iowa Core Curriculum You will notice on the Benton Community Website a link for Iowa Core Curriculum. This state wide initiative is planned to be implemented in our district by 2012. The staff is currently receiving professional development. In first grade, Mrs. Brecht and Mrs. Lange are already using the Core Curriculum standards for their teaching. The math section on the report card has the areas of the Iowa Core Curriculum listed and that is what is taught and assessed. Below is a link for Iowa Core Curriculum. www.corecurriculum.iowa.gov
