Chapter 15 THE CHURCH GUIDES Rather than take a test on this chapter, we will do a special project. Students will make a display of the Precepts of the Church (see side bar for link). They will choose whether to make a poster, mobile, or diorama. Anyone interested in making a diorama should bring a shoe box to school. Anyone intersted in making a poster, please bring a piece of posterboard to school. Saul was a Roman who worked against the Church in its early days, after the Resurrection. Jesus spoke to him, and converted him to Christianity. With God’s forgiveness, he changed and became St. Paul, one of the great leaders of the Church. We receive grace from/in/with sacraments. God’s grace helps us make good choices. Your conscience is an inner voice. We can strengthen our consciences by learning and following the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the Precepts of the Church. A precept is a basic rule, that helps us know what to do and what not to do. A choice to disobey God is a sin. PRAYER OF THE WEEK God, please help me follow You. "Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior." (Psalm 25:5) Dear Lord, we are so thankful that You always give us another chance to do better. Amen.
