Carrie Tilton

Though I'm a proud Kentucky native, I have lived in a few different regions of the country. I was born in Ashland, KY, where I still have family, but spent several years near Seattle, WA, while growing up. I returned to Kentucky to finish high school and earn a B.S. in Environmental Resources from Eastern Kentucky University.

After graduation, I spent a summer outside of Nashville working at a day camp where I learned that I love to work with kids and decided to pursue a career in education. I began Montessori training the next fall and have since earned certification at both the elementary and middle school levels, and participated in workshops focusing on such topics as learning differences, ADHD, and multiple intelligences.

Most recently, I directed the middle school program at Quest Montessori School in Exeter, Rhode Island. While my husband and I enjoyed New England, we are excited to be back in the rolling hills of the Bluegrass.

When I'm not at school, I'm spending time with my husband, Jeff Grosch, and playing with our two dogs, Daisy and Copper.
I enjoy crafts and working in my yard, and I love to read! My favorite authors include Barbara Kingsolver and Wendall Berry, as well as children's authors, Jerry Spinelli and Sharon Creech.

I'm thrilled to have joined the community at St. Francis. I believe that the key to a strong home-school partnership is communication, so don't hesitate to come to me with any questions or concerns. The best way
to contact me is through email: ctilton@stfrancisschool.org. I'm looking forward to a great year!
