Fermi Lab Relativity
Hyperphysics
The best physics tutoring site I've seen yet! Great visuals and examples.
Electric Field applet
Get a feel for electric field lines and equipotential lines by playing with this cool applet!
Electric Field Hockey
Learn about charge interactions and electric fields while trying to score! Fun!
Glenbrook Physics
Here you can find theory, tutoring, and practice on all physics 1 topics. It's a great place to go for reinforcement or remediation.

Sonoluminescence Primer
Standing sound waves trap a tiny gas bubble at a node. Then high frequency sound waves compress the bubble to approximately 1 micron when the bubble spontaneously emits light!! Physicists cannot explain the mechanism at this time. Check it out! *NOTE: The site apparently is down, so I changed the link to a cached version of the page by MSN.
The RHIC fireball as a dual black hole
Here is the scientific paper explaining the black-hole properties produced from the supercollision of gold nuclei in New York.

New Discoveries

First Invisible Galaxy Discovered
A galaxy with no stars? Now THAT's dark matter! You gotta check this one out! Thanks to Adam A for sharing this one!
Smallest Star Discovered
Space.com is where to find breaking news in the astronomy and astrophysics scene. An eclipsing binary star has been discovered that is only slightly larger in size than Jupiter that is sustaining normal fusion!
Scientists in New York May have Formed a Black Hole
Here is the bbc article. See the link under "cutting edge physics" category for the scientific paper.

Ambigram Maker
Thanks to Carter C. for sharing this site with me. I had so much fun with it that I had to share it with you. Enjoy!
SodaPlay
Do you like to design and build things? Then this is the place for you! Build your own animated "robots" or simply play with the creations of others. Lots of fun!
GeekDIY
Need I say more? Read for fun, but always consult an educated adult before trying anything!
Help Daffy Duck land safely on his target!
This one is lots of fun. Watch the underwear on the flagpole for wind data. Click "jump" to jump (of course) and "chute" to deploy Daffy's parachute.
What's Special About This Number?
Check it out... Get the low down on *your* favorite number(s)!
How to Destroy the Earth
"Destroying the Earth is harder than you may have been led to believe. You've seen the action movies where the bad guy threatens to destroy the Earth. You've heard people on the news claiming that the next nuclear war or cutting down rainforests or persisting in releasing hideous quantities of pollution into the atmosphere threatens to end the world. Fools. The Earth is built to last. It is a 4,550,000,000-year-old, 5,973,600,000,000,000,000,000-tonne ball of iron. It has taken more devastating asteroid hits in its lifetime than you've had hot dinners, and lo, it still orbits merrily. So my first piece of advice to you, dear would-be Earth-destroyer, is: do NOT think this will be easy. This is not a guide for wusses whose aim is merely to wipe out humanity. I (Sam Hughes) can in no way guarantee the complete extinction of the human race via any of these methods, real or imaginary. Humanity is wily and resourceful, and many of the methods outlined below will take many years to even become available, let alone implement, by which time mankind may well have spread to other planets; indeed, other star systems. If total human genocide is your ultimate goal, you are reading the wrong document. There are far more efficient ways of doing this, many which are available and feasible RIGHT NOW. Nor is this a guide for those wanting to annihilate everything from single-celled life upwards, render Earth uninhabitable or simply conquer it. These are trivial goals in comparison. This is a guide for those who do not want the Earth to be there anymore." This is the rebuttal to all of the hoakie sci-fi "end of the world" movies and tv specials.
