About Me

I am very excited and fortunate to be back again at Plum Creek.  Plum Creek is truly a family affair. 

I started my career in public education is 1997 in Austin ISD as a pre-kindergarten teacher and then move to kindergarten. While at Brooke Elementary in Austin I had many rich experiences which included dyslexia coordinator, mentoring interns, and taking a graduate reading course.

Aafter my son was born in 2001 I resigned from teaching and worked part-time for Austin Community College as the Evening Care Director for a grant program. While at ACC I took advantage of low cost classes and for personal knowledge took business courses.

The grant ended and my daughter was born, I then established a small preschool in my home.  Concurrently I began my masters in education at Texas State.  In May of 2009 I completed my degree and now have a Masters of Education (MEd).  It is my professional goal to continue my education and certifications.  I am currently working towards becoming a licensed professional counselor and a certified play therapist.

My passion is working with children and their families. As the school counselor at Plum Creek, I am dedicated to provide a well planned comprehensive program that includes working with families and the community. Please contact me at anytime if you have any questions or comments.
