• Properties- color, shape, size, odor, and texture
• mixture- something made of two or more things
• separate- to take apart
• magnify- to make an object look larger
• solid- a state of matter that has its own size and shape
• liquid- a state of matter that does not have its own shape
• gas- a state of matter that spreads out to fill a space
• volume- the amount of space a liquid takes up
• mass- the amount of matter in an object
• dissolves- to mix completely with water

• solar system- the Sun and the space objects that move around it.
• rotates- Earth rotates, or spins around an imaginary line.
• phases- the different ways the Moon looks.
• constellation- a group of stars that forms a picture.
• revolve- to move in a path around the Sun.
• orbit- the path that one space object travels around another.
• Moon- a large sphere made of rock.
• star- a big ball of hot gases that gives off light.
