*WELCOME* 

*In preparation for our 100th day of school, the kindergarten at Riverside West is on a mission to collect 100 cans of food to donate to the Tri-Borough Food Pantry in Moosic.  We started collecting on Tuesday of this week and in only two days, we have already collected 76 cans!!!!!  This is an amazing effort on the part of all the kindergarten parents and really speaks to the generosity of the Riverside community.  We hope to have all 100 cans collected by the end of this week.  Thank you so much!!!

UPDATE!!!

In just 4 days of collecting, our kindergarten has collected 99 cans!!  I think that is fabulous!!  THANK YOU so much to everyone who brought in cans for our collection.  That is the fastest time we have ever met our goal!  We will still continue to collect until next Friday Feb. 10th.  We will have a visit on that day from Linda from the Tri-Borough Food Pantry.  She will speak to us about what they will do with the cans and how they will help people in our community.  Again, thank you so much for making our kindergarten 100 day project a success!

As of today, Tuesday Feb. 7th, we have collected 105 cans!  You may continue to bring in cans through this week. 

UPDATE!!!

As of today, Thursday Feb. 9th, we have collected 126 cans!!  Tomorrow is the last day to bring in cans.

  *A SPECIAL NOTE:  Our school has been featured in a Scholastic Book written by Jerry Pallotta and illustrated by Taylor native David Biedrzycki.  The title of the book is How Will I Get to School This Year?  Check out the beautiful illustrations from the book hanging in our front hallway!

Library Book Exchange will be on Monday mornings at 9:45.  Students will be allowed to borrow one book from the library.  They will be allowed to take the books home, but I always tell them to put the books back in their backpack when they are finished reading them.  If they forget to bring their books back on Monday, they will not be allowed to take out another book until it is returned.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.
