Mrs. Wood

The mathematics program consists of grade 6 and 7 General Math, Pre-Algebra and Algebra I. General math covers general math skills, statistics, graphing, geometry and measurements, probability and an introduction to algebra. Pre-Algebra is offered in grades 7 and 8. The Algebra I course is taught in grade 8.

These programs create an environment in which students become problem solvers, reinforcing their skills to plan, solve and communicate mathematical knowledge both written and verbally. This is achieved through explorations, mini-labs, hands-on labs, chapter projects, real life activities, spreadsheet investigations, games, working cooperatively and enrichment activities.
