Reading Workshop
In reading workshop we will:
· continue to practice the strategies we use when we are stuck on a word
· practice using the beanie baby “Iggy Iguana” for inferring and “Spinner the Spider” making connections
Math: Data and Graphs
We will:
· begin talking about tally graphs, bar graphs and pictographs
· make the bar graphs, tally charts, pictographs
Writing Workshop
This week we will:
· continue to write and practice stretching out small moments.
· read Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats (which is a perfect example of a small moment story)
· create writing partnerships
We will:
· read many fiction and nonfiction books about owls
· view a flipchart on different types of owls and their habitats
· read Owl Moon and do an art project
