Web Design Web Design

Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual wants and needs.  The activities that businesses do to accomplish that include advertising, store displays, product packaging, and moving goods to the sales destination.

The internet is changing the way those activities are completed.  This is e-marketing.  E-Commerce is the buying, selling, marketing, servicing and distributing products and services over the internet.  Many people still haven’t accepted e-commerce and it could be because of concerns about security, access to web commerce, poorly designed web sites, and difficulties in returns.

This class will explore the pros and cons of on-line businesses, how to create a web site for e-commerce, and compare online stores with the traditional bricks-and-mortar stores.

Course requirements:  a binder to keep all notes and handouts, notebooks and writing utensil for in-class note-taking.

FEE:  $6

There are some rules you will have to follow so we can have a smoothly run and efficient classroom:  no eating or drinking in this class; no gum chewing; no throwing of papers, books, etc.; stay in your seat.  The first time you are tardy, you will get a warning.   Any further tardiness will result in a detention.  For a good grade, hand in all papers on time, do all the work assigned, correctly answer the assigned questions, and BEHAVE in class!  This can be a fun and interesting class if you decide to take the "right" attitude.
