The technique of touch typing, or typing without looking at the keys is introduced in grade four at Cathedral School.  Students in grade four through eight receive instruction and begin their typing course in the media center during the first quarter of the year. 

The typing course is a series of lessons available online so that students can access the program from home.  Parents receive feedback on their child's progress both at the beginning and end of the school year. 

Please encourage your child to continue to work through the lessons all year in order to improve his/her typing skills.  Usernames and passwords were given out at the beginning of starting the lessons in the media center.  If you need this information again please contact me.  The web address for the program is:
