Elementary Computer Classes All Cathedral School students receive computer instruction in the media center. Pre-K has 20 minutes of computer instruction and 20 minutes of hearing a story on their assigned media day. Kindergarten comes to the media center on Mondays for a computer instruction and book check out.
Students in grades one through five receive computer instruction in collaboration with their classroom teacher. They have one assigned computer time per week and in addition will come in at set times throughout the quarter to work on projects. This way the work they do on the computer is more meaningful to them because it has to do with what they are learning in the classroom.
Structured touch typing (typing without looking at the keys) lessons are given in grades four through eight. For more information on the typing program we use at Cathedral please click here.
