Thank you, once again, to the Sutherland and Werman families for adopting our class.

WOW!  This trip to Tallahassee was amazing! All parents and all students agreed that this was the best field trip ever!   At every venue we visited (State Capitol, Governor's Mansion, Florida History Farm and Zoo, IMAX theater, the Court House, the Science Center, and the hotel), those in charge said that we were the best group and the most well behaved group that they have had in years! The curator at the Governor's Mansion said it was the best group she had seen in all the years she had been working there.   I am so proud of our 4th and 5th graders. They asked incredibly thoughtful questions, they paid attention and were actively engaged at every stop. Many of those in charge didn't want our students to leave, they wanted them to stay longer. Tatum Ridge made an impression!  THANK YOU to everyone!

I also would like to thank everyone for making my birthday a memorable one.  I am not sure the FSU Student Union will ever be the same after our special "Native American" version of "Happy Birthday."

Please be sure to send in items for our beach inspired auction basket.  We have a cooler to hold our goodies.  Please contact Mrs. Snyder if you have questions.

Third grade continues to work on map skills and we have begun expository writing.

Fourth grade is working on narrative writing while continuing to work on expository anecdotes.  Our big day is Feb. 28.

Fifth grade is starting The Revolutionary War - a favorite unit of 5th graders, and we will begin persuasive writing.

==================================================

Please keep in mind the Tatum Ridge dress code.  Flip flops are not acceptable footwear even on the days we don't have P.E.

Please check and sign your child's agenda book every day.  If you have any questions, you can check this website under the "Work Habits" section or the front of your child's agenda book.  Please check your child’s backpack every night.  It is important way for you keep up with what your child is doing.

Please help your child be the best student s/he can be by looking over his/her papers each week. If you have any comments or concerns, please make a note in your child’s agenda book, and I will get back to you quickly.
