All About Jesus

As they did in 6th grade, students will occasionally act out Bible stories.

Show Me The Way! Just like the old song from Styx, we are longing for God to "Show us the Way". Take that, add the Truth and the Life, and it all adds up to this year's seventh grade religion class. In seventh grade, students will study Jesus Christ, learning about his life and how is actions 2,000 years ago affect our lives today. Students will begin with a history and geography lesson on life in 1st Century Palestine, and will learn the culture and norms of Jesus' time. As they continue, they will study the "role players" around Jesus such as Mary, Joseph, John the Baptist, and the Apostles. Finally, we will take a deeper look at Jesus' miracles, bold teachings, and parables, before re-tracing his steps up Calvary hill to understand his death and resurrection. Through it all, students will learn more than they ever dreamed to know about Jesus. However, they will also learn to have their own relationship with Jesus themselves, which it really is all about ayway! So add a cup of way, a dash of truth, and a pinch of life, and cook them together for seventh grade religion this year. Units in this class include: -
