From Mr. Rickbeil...

Dear students and parents,

As I'm currently writing this and working on my web site, it's late July, and there is over a month left in the school year.  Over the summer, I've had all the free time I could hope for and all of the peace and quiet that I could ever take time for... and it's not all that it's cracked up to be!

As I'm writing this, I couldn't be more excited as I prepare for the 2008-2009 school year, my 4th year here at Trinity.  I am thrilled to be able to enjoy the curriculum and chaos that goes with each school year, and I completely enjoy teaching the truth of the Gospel to your children.  Teaching religion is challenging work, and I spend more time thinking about the "deep questions" than even I care to, but I'm excited beyond words to have a front-row seat in the spiritual development that goes on in this classroom.

Teaching at Trinity excites me, as you get the chance to "teaching children to love learning".  To me, it's extremely important that children learn to love learning about God.  So often, we get led into thinking that learning about God is boring or pointless.  However, I think learning about our faith is the "juicy stuff" in life, and that learning about God will ultimately teach us everything we need to know about our world and ourselves.  Just as Saint Julie taught her sisters to "Teach them what they need for life", our religion classes aim to teach them what they need for their life and their afterlife.

In our changing world, where cell phones and web sites have taken the place of...well whatever it is they took the place of... students need to know that God is still and will always be at the center of thier lives.  Our faith isn't just something we do on Sundays or something we believe in, but truly incorporates and relates to all of our life.  I lam blessed to be able to share my faith with our students this year, and hope this year brings many blessings and life lessons to everyone, often at the same time.

Sincerely,

Kyle Rickbeil
