The toucan gets an endorsement deal for his running in the Trinity Trot

Seventh grade students practice service by washing each others' feet (with plenty of soap!)
|
Toucan runs a personal-best 42 laps at the Trinity Trot! In a move that required a great deal of training and a little help from the 7-1 homeroom, the touan completed his mission of running in the Trinity Trot with style, completing 42 laps. The 42 laps was a personal-best, and set the record for the most laps run by a stuffed animal in the three years of the Trinity Trot's existence. Although official race results will come out soon, it is believed that the toucan will be ineligible to win the race itself because the rules forbid non-living things from winning actual trophies. Still, the toucan was happy with his accomplishments, and is setting his sights on future athletic endeavors. The toucan has used his recent success to gain an endorsement deal with Vitamin Water, and would eventually like to try running the 2010 Boston Marathon. Thanks to all in the 7-1 homeroom for making the toucan's first Trinity Trot such a great success! Press on to the Finish Line! Students, keep going to the end of the year. There are a few more quizzes and tests, plus some technology projects going on during the final weeks of this school year. Check this site for all practice quizzes, and click on the projects link on the side for information about the technology projects in 5th, 6th, and 7th grades.
