What to look forward to this year:


  • Third graders get to run for Student Council Representatives!
  • Third graders may join the Newberry and Caldecott Award Book Club.
  • Third graders may join the Meridian Choir.
  • Exciting Science units including the human body, Earth Movements, and Matter and Energy.
  • Multiplication! Need I say more?
  • You will learn cursive and use it a lot throughout the school year.
  • You will become an expert on the United States.
  • You will learn how to use an online search engine for our various research projects.
  • You get to take the CSAP test this year.
  • You will become a reading detective and help solve mysteries.
  • You will learn about different genres of writing.
  • You will publish your own anthology of writing.
  • We will have many special programs from local museums come to visit our classroom.
  • You will get your very own T.E.A.M Binder and planner to help you stay organized.
  • There is much more, but you will have to wait to find out!
