Hello! My name is Kara Powell.  This is my sixth year teaching.  I taught fourth grade in Horn Lake, MS for two years.  Since moving to Florida I have taught third grade and fifth grade at Patronis.  I graduated from Murray State University in Murray, KY with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  I have been married to my husband Jay for five years.  He is the head men's basketball coach at Gulf Coast Community College.  We have two children.  Gannon is ten and Jaelynn is six.  I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, playing and watching sports, reading and shopping!!
