About me: I have been the Spanish teacher at Overbrook School since 1997. I am a native of Auburn, AL. (War Eagle!!!) I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in clarinet performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, a Master of Music in clarinet from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master in Education from Auburn University. I taught 4th Grade and Kindergarten in a mostly Puerto Rican Catholic school in Philadelphia. After obtaining my certification in Spanish I taught high school for four years in Georgia and Alabama before moving to Tennessee. I also teach Spanish at Aquinas College one night a week. I work with the Middle School Band here at Overbrook and still manage to play clarinet sometimes. My first love is music, but Spanish is such a musical language that it fits right into my top love!
My other important worldly loves are my husband, who is from Panamá, and my four boys. Tips for navigating through my Web site: 1) There is a link below that goes directly to the Junior High Common Calendar. I will announce homework and tests for other classes on grade level pages. 2) "Guidelines for Spanish" tell about my general expectations and materials for each grade level. 3) "My Links" will take you directly to my Quia profile and other useful links.
