WELCOME to Belfair Elementary Library and the 2009-10 school year. Each class, in grades 1-5, visit the Library every 3 school days. Preschoolers and Kindergartners visit the library two-three times each month beginning in mid-September/early October.
Ms. Mensinger and Mrs. Green are available to help students find books, answer questions and research topics they are interested in. Library and technology lessons focus on guiding students to become more confident & independent library users and researchers.

If, by chance, you discovered any library or school books at home, PLEASE DO
return the books to the Library soon. We DO NOT charge fines - we accept returned books any time for Belfair Elementary or for any of our NMSD school libraries!
2nd-5th graders will take MAP tests in Reading and Math between Sept. 22 and Oct. 3. Teachers will be able to share the results at the Fall Conferences the last week of October.

Each year 4th-5th graders are invited to read selections nominated for the Sasquatch Reading Award and/or the Young Reader's Choice Award. K-3 teachers read the 20 titles nominated for the Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award to students. Book award voting takes place in March each year!
