 Hooray for Summer!!
I hope your summer is a blast!! Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gift certificates! I will have lots of fun using them! Don't forget to stop by and say hello next year!
 Sight Word Super Stars!!
Congratulations to the students from our classroom who successfully read all 1,000 sights words this year: Pamela, Lizzie, Scott, Emily, Antonina, Nhi, Sean, Hailey and Sage Pamela even spelled all 1,000 words!! That's amazing! WAY TO GO!! It took a lot of hard work and determination to reach your goal! Awesome job!
 First in Math
We now have a "First in Math" tab in our main menu. This new webpage is where I will post our weekly classroom winners as well as the school standings, so be sure to check it out. If you haven't bookmarked the First in Math website yet, do so today so that it's easier for you to get to each day.  CONGRATULATIONS to Dante, Pamela, and Thomas for accumulating the greatest number of stickers from our class this year! They earned a special First in Math champion lanyard and a bracelet in front of the whole school last Monday! Awesome work!!
 Hearst Student Store
Did you know that the Hearst Student Council now has their own store? It is located outside of Mr. Zarro's office during recess on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Items for sale (currently) are pencils, erasers, paper, staplers, water, snacks, etc. Items range in price from $0.25 to $3.00. More items will be for sale as time goes on. If you are interested, bring your change and get the supplies you need!
 Author of the Month
Our Author of the Month is Audrey Wood. Audrey's books are lots fun to read; her stories are generally whimsical and the illustrations are incredible! To learn more about this award winning author, click on the "Author of the Month" tab in the main menu or click HERE!
