"Learning without thought is labor lost; thought without learning is perilous."- Confucius My teaching career began after I completed my masters degree from Georgia State University in 1997. I started working in Rockdale County and transferred to Gwinnett County in 2006. While working part time in another elementary school in the Parkview cluster, I earned my specialist degree from Piedmont College. In 2010 I finished my degree and began working at Camp Creek Elementary. I am not only proud to be a member of the faculty, but I am proud to also call myself a Camp Creek parent of five years. My daughters Gracie (5th grade), Madeline (3rd grade), and Charlotte (kindergarten) attend our wonderful school and have benefited from their experience here. My teaching philosophy is to encourage a sense of ownership, responsibility, and self confidence so that my students' learning is with thought; therefore, not lost.
