Mrs. Jones' Bio

Personal: 

I am married to a wonderful man who works for Best Buy of Columbus.  (I told him I'd add a promo.)  His name is Donald Jones.  We have been married for close to twenty years and have raised three absolutely, fabulous children. 

The two oldest have moved away.  My oldest, Krystal, is currently attending school in San Antonio, Texas.  My middle child, Edwin, is currently attending school in San Antonio, after a tour in the US Army, and the youngest is still a native.  He is currently attending college in Columbus, is a new father, and has made me a new grandmother!  His name is Samuel. My grandson is named for my father, Nicholas!

Teaching is in my blood!  I love what I do for a living.  I can not imagine doing anything else!  Although I like to do and try a lot of things, teaching is the thing that I am most passionate about!  It probably has something to do with my upbringing! 

My father grew up in Columbus and attended Spencer High School.  He went on to obtain his B.A. in Music at Bethune-Cookman and became a teacher.  He taught music (Band) at Admiral King High School in Lorain, OH.  His marching band went on to win numerous awards, including the title of National Marching Band Champions! 

My mother grew up in FL and was a Choral Music major at Bethune-Cookman.  She went on to compete nationally and won many awards.  She also performed in a televised version of "Othello".  Once finished with her vocal aspirations, she also became a teacher and taught Pre-school and Kindergarden at a nursery school in OH.  She currently works for TSYS. 

Other Family:

My sister obtained her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from CSU and became a certified Early Childhood teacher.  She taught in MCSD for two years at Forrest Road Elementary.  She currently resides in Columbus.

I also have three brothers.  The oldest is married and works for Fed Ex Ground in Atlanta.  His son -- and my nephew, is the chart-topping recording artist, Lil' One.  The "brother in the middle" is married and works for AFLAC, and the youngest, is an amazing artist, is single, and works for TSYS.  I have seven wonderful neices and 11 (Yes, I said eleven!) equally awesome, nephews!  Most reside in Columbus.
