Counselors at CMS believe that all students:

Middle School Counselors assist student to learn the skills and attitudes necessary to be successful learners. They emphasize with students that the classroom is their first workplace and that communication, decision-making, interpersonal and career awareness skills are important to their success.

Cody Middle School counselors are an integral part of the schools total educational program. The Comprehensive Competency Based counseling Program includes sequential activities organized and implemented with the active involvement and support of students, parents, teachers and administrators. The Comprehensive Competency Based Guidance program promotes knowledge, attitudes and skills in problem solving, goal setting, self-esteem, and educational/occupational decision-making.
