Below you will find details about what we did in class each day this week as well as any homework assignments. Monday May 21st - Thursday May 24th: Monday: Today we finished going over FEED! I collected study guides, and students started review sheets for the test on THURS. I also handed out calendars for the rest of the school year. HW: Study for assessment on Thurs. Tuesday: Today I handed out the ALLEGORY children's book project for our FEED unit. This will be due next Wednesday! HW: Work on project... Feed test on Thurs! Wednesday: Working Day - work on allegory project and prep for FEED test tomorrow! HW: Test tomorrow! Thursday:FEED unit test. Afterwards, work on Allegory-- DUE WED! HW: Allegory due Wed. LAST WEEK Monday May 14th - Friday May 18th Monday: Today we went over the beginning of UTOPIA and continued with the story. HW:Read through page 165. Tuesday:Today we took a quiz on pages 119-165 of FEED. Then we reviewed the reading questions and discussed. HW: Finish the utopia section! Wednesday: Today I gave the crossword homework, then we worked on Slumberland HW: Crossword puzzle due tomorrow Thursday: Today I collected the crosswords, then we continued with Slumberland HW: Everyone must have book completed and study guide completed by Monday! Friday: Today there was a sub so I could speak at the Freshman meeting. Students read independently. The book and study guide must be completed by MONDAY! HW: Finish book and study guide! LAST WEEK: Monday May 7th - May 11th Monday: Today we read the beginning of EDEN together and analyzed the beginning questions in the study guide. HW: Finish up the EDEN section and finish the questions. Quiz tomorrow on MOON and EDEN. Tuesday: Today we reviewed the EDEN questions, then students answered analysis questions for MOON and EDEN in their journals. HW: Journals due THURS. Wednesday: Today we did a review of the MOON and EDEN sections together. We discussed some emerging themes, then started the next section. HW: Read through page 119 and answer questions Thursday: CONSUMERISM - watch videos and discuss the idea HW: Finish old HW if you did not! Friday: Finish up CONSUMERISM discussion. Start going over the Utopia questions HW: None
