About Mrs. Grubbs

My name is Katy Grubbs and I was born and raised in Panama City Beach, FL. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University in 2008. I am certified in both Florida and Georgia to teach Kdg.-9th grades, as well as ESOL.

Before teaching, I substitute taught and worked as a paraprofessional for Bay District Schools. After earning my degree I taught first grade for two years at Breakfast Point Academy in Panama City Beach, FL.

This year will be my second year teaching ESOL at Dunwoody Elementary School. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the diverse groups of ESOL students at DES. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning and fun.
