AR Goals have been assigned for 2nd nine weeks!

50% AR Due Nov. 13th

75% AR Due Dec. 4th

100% AR Due Dec. 18th

HOMEWORK - READ AT LEAST 20 MIN. EVERY NIGHT Monday - Thursday!!!!! (Yes, even if you have met your AR goal.)

75% of your child's grade comes from class work. (daily work counts one time, quizzes count twice, and tests count three times)

25% of your child's grade is AR (15% is the test GRADE average and 10% is the percentage of goal met) -- As you can see, it is very important that students do well on their AR tests - not just reach their goal.  The literature teachers set goals that are very reasonable, and should be easily obtained through classroom novels and student reading time both in school and through the twenty minutes nightly at home. 

I know we are all busy, but please read with your child and talk to him or her about the book.  This greatly improves comprehension, and it can be a wonderful time for parent and child!
