Social Justice Syllabus

                          

Class Procedures

Be on Time- if you are late you need to have a pass or get a pass. If you are unexcused tardy more than five times your grade will be reduced by 10 points (ex. 90% will be an 80%)

           

Bathroom- only allowed during downtime, not during lecture, discussion, films, etc.

 

Prayer- every class will begin with a student run prayer. Each student will write two

 

Homework- write all homework in your agenda, you’re SENOIRS stay    organized!

 

Quizzes- can only be taken if a student has an excused absence. (remember no cheating!)

 

Participation- class discussion is going to be imperative in this class, you need to speak your opinions and speak them in a respectful way!

           

Materials- you need your book, paper, and a FOLDER!!! You are going to be getting a lot of handouts and I will not be making extra copies. Do not loose your handouts!

 

Papers/Projects- we will be having many of these! Pay attention to due dates!

 

Absences- you are responsible for getting work missed when absent, that includes homework, papers, projects, movies, etc.

 

Service Learning- You will be required to go on one service trip, sign up through Campus Ministry and a paper will be due towards the end of the stage based on your experience.

 

Behavior- 1. Warning from me.

2. After school conference with the teacher (if you forget or decide not to come, an automatic detention and phone call home will be given)

3. Phone call to parent and referral to the Dean of Students, Mr. Ryan.   

 

*No credit will be given for any work if you are absent for disciplinary reasons.

 

 

Late Work- All late assignments will be 50% off automatically.

Participation (including discussion/group work behavior) 10%
