Colonel Douglas Wheelock NASA Astronaut and 1978 graduate of Windsor High School Colonel Douglas Wheelock. He realized his lifelong dream when he served as a mission specialist on the crew of STS-120 Discovery (October 23-November 7, 2007). During his February 28 & 29, 2008 visit to Windsor schools, Col. Wheelock spoke to students and gave a detailed account of his mission. His encouraging message to them was that ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things if they work hard and never lose sight of their dreams.
