  Welcome to PreK-2 with Mrs. Weaver!

OPEN HOUSE - Sunday, March 8  1 - 3pm            Please join us, take a tour of our room, learn about the great things we accomplish, and the fun we have everyday!!

St. Ambrose Kindergarten Screenings will be taking place on Friday, March 27th - I expect our students will pass with flying colors (and we know our colors too!!!)

We have worked so hard this year at learning to recognize the alphabet (upper and lower cases) as well as the sounds that each letter makes.  We have been working on rhyming word patterns and will soon begin using them to create words.  We will also start reading and writing short sentences based on those rhyming patterns and the sight words we have been learning.  Writing our first and last names and identifying the letters in each is an upcoming task as well.

We are just the best counters!! You should see our graphing (it's up on the wall outside our classroom). We had to identify numbers, count and color in blocks (with the correct colors of course) to match each number - it was fun!!  Soon we'll begin some beginning addition.

Everyday can be crazy with singing and rhyming, identifying letters, sounds, and numbers, counting and coloring, painting and printing - We just love to be here!!!
