Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,
It’s that time of year again; back to school! I am very excited to have your child in my class. I consider it of prime importance for you to be an active part of your child’s education. I also believe that it is important to have open communication between parents and teachers. Should you have any questions, concerns or comments regarding your child, I invite you to please, feel free to email me at jburdett@apacademy.org. I will be happy to address anything you may wish to discuss. If you would like to discuss your child in person, please email me and we can schedule a conference. In addition, I will make sure to communicate to you about any issue that may arise.
It is important that you, in addition to your child be familiar with the standards set in my classroom. Please read the attached pages, which contain the grading scale, policies and procedures, rules, and my discipline plan, and review them with your child.
You will find that by all of us working together, this will be an extremely successful year. I consider it a great privilege to be your child’s teacher this year and I look forward to a great year!
