Welcome to 4th Grade! I am so glad that you are part of my class this year. Let me take a minute and introduce myself! I have lived in East Greenbush my entire life. When I was younger I went to Red Mill. After I graduated from Columbia High School in 1997, I went away to college. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher ever since I was in 4th grade. I worked very hard and I graduated from the SUNY College at Oneonta with my degree in elementary education. After that, I worked as a substitute in the East Greenbush school district while I worked on getting my master's degree. Well, I finally reached my goal and I graduated with a master's degree in literacy from the College of Saint Rose. Now I am fortunate enough to be teaching 4th grade at Green Meadow. I LOVE IT! I love coming to work each day and seeing all of the kids and teachers. My family lives in East Greenbush too. I am the youngest of three children and I am the only girl! I have many hobbies. I enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling. Some of my other hobbies include sports. I love to play softball and basketball. I also love to coach softball and T-Ball. Running is something else I enjoy doing with my students. I have been in many races so far and I am having a blast. Most of you know that I now have a cat. His name is Sonny. My students love hearing about the crazy things that Sonny does. Here is a picture of him when he was a kitten! Recently, I adopted a new golden retriever named Sibley. She is a very sweet and lovable dog! Here is a picture of her when she was a puppy! Now you know a little bit about me. I hope as the year goes on that I learn more about you too. We're going to have a great year! - Mrs. Kusche
