Hello All! This week we will be launching the SupaSusa Writing Club. The students and I are very excited about this new venture. They will be writing articles, stories, poems, taking pictures, and editing. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, October 3rd during 11th period. All 8th graders are invited to attend.
In class, we read a story about a rabble-rousing kindergartener named Charles. After reading the story, students worked on a story map then created their own ideas for a comic strip based on the misdeeds of Charles.
This week, we will read an excerpt from Maya Angelou's "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings".
