Students are responsible for keeping up with novel reading assignments.  Students may come before school, during Bronco Time, and after school to make up any reading assignments they have not completed.  Due to the shortage of books, I am unable to check any novels out.

All students should have a book from the library for daily SSR reading.   

Welcome to 8th grade Literature!  This year we will be reading and interpreting a variety of genres, which include: science fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, mystery/adventure, realistic fiction, non-fiction, and biographies.  

We will be reading several classroom novels, as well as selections from our literature books, and some outside sources.  It is imperitive that you keep up with reading assignments.  Students are welcome to come during advisory, SSR, before school, and after school, to make up any missed reading.

You are to bring your notebook, pencil, highlighter, and AR book to class on a daily basis.

Parents be sure and sign up for Parent Portal to view your child's progress throughout the school year.  You can obtain a password and register through your youngest child's school.
