Eighth Grade Assignments

All students are responsible for keeping up with our novel reading assignments.  Any student who is absent, or does not keep up with the reading schedule, needs to come to my room during advisory or any day after school to catch up.    

Any student who does not complete assignments in class, should complete it as homework.

•  Grade worksheets from 10/29/09
• Copy vocabulary for novel "Nothing to Fear"
• Use vocabulary definitions as your study guide for the test on Friday

11/3   Tuesday

• Read "Thank You Ma'am"
• Discuss story elements
• In-class Quiz

11/4   Wednesday  

• Discuss historical background of novel
• View media on the Stock Market Crash of 1929 and the Depression
• Begin historical fiction novel "Nothing to Fear"                                                                              

11/5    Thursday

• Read "Nothing to Fear"  Chs.

11/6   Friday

• Read "Nothing to Fear" Chs. 
• Vocabulary Quiz
