About Me

|
This is my 15th year to teach. In my many years before I had the opportunity to go back to college, I had numerous occupations. I have been a stay at home mom, a school secretary, a librarian assistant, a percusionist in my church, and a ballroom dance instructor. I love music, especially big band and jazz. I was the vocalist for the Al Good Orchestra for 20 years, and am currently with the Floyd Haynes Orchestra for the past 6 years. The most important part of my life is my family. My husband Tony and I have 3 wonderful (adult) children. My husband and I were blessed with two adorable grandsons, Maverick James Simmons and Cohen Bradford Heskett. We are anticipating the arrival of our third grandchild (IT'S A GIRL!) in January 2012. My family and I love to play all sorts of games and watch classic movies. We especially love to decorate for the holidays. My hobbies are reading and music. I have my Bachelor and Masters degrees from Southern Nazarene University, and have my Principal's Certification as well. I am taking a break as an adjunct professor at OSU-OKC where I teach Basic English Composition and Developmental Writing.
