AVID/AP World Savvy UofM Tour
The Award Winning Team from AVID/Admission Possible of the World Affairs Challenge 2009 were made welcome at the University Of Minnesota. It was a rewarding experience for our Highland Sr. students to be part of Public Engagement Day at the U of M as World Savvy's World Affairs Challenge 2009 winners. The team enjoyed the tour, the presentations and information about next year's topic "water", and the event at the new stadium where they got to see how people use their degrees for every kind of civic engagement. This event has planted seeds for the future. I'd call that priceless.
