During the month of March, all 3rd and 4th grade students are participating in the county wide program called, “Count Your Steps”. Students will be using pedometers as a tool to determine if they are getting enough exercise to stay healthy. These pedometers are theirs to keep! Students will record the number of steps each day in a special logbook. The goal is for students to get 10,000 steps or more each day. At the end of each week, they total their scores and record the total in their logbook. Students will return their books on MONDAYS during the month of March so that their totals may be sent to Oakland County. IN SHORT: -
Begin recording steps on March 1. -
Record steps each night and total them for the week on SUNDAY nights. -
Write the weekly total on the WEEKLY TOTAL line. -
Bring logbooks back to school on MONDAYS. -
The last day of recording is March 29. -
The last day to return logbooks is WEDNESDAY, April 1.
