Welcome to Social Studies!  5th grade social studies will focus on US History and North America (Canada and Mexico). We will study the explorers that led us to North America and the Early Peoples that started our civilizations. We will make our way chronologically through US History, and the development of our country through westward expansion, while learning about the historical figures that shaped our nation. It is quite a journey the students make learning about North America and all it has to offer. In addition to learning terminology, places, and events, we will participate in many hands-on activities to bring our history to life!
