Historical Fiction

For your February book project you will be reading a historical fiction book. This is a book which tells a story that is set in the past. The setting is usually real and drawn from history, and often contains actual historical persons. An example of this genre would be the Dear America series, or any book which has a setting from history. Choose your book as soon as possible and remember that the book you choose should be within your Lexile range. If you are not sure about your book choice, be sure to ask me and I will help you find a book that is just right for you.

After you have finished reading your book, then you are ready to begin your book project. The project this month is a scrapbook page. Please refer to the directions on the following page.

Timeline:

Feb. 1-7^th: Choose your book

Jan. 8-22nd: Read your book

Jan. 23-28^th: Work on your scrapbook page
