What Will We Learn This Week

 WHAT WILL WE LEARN THIS WEEK?

LANGUAGE ARTS

On Wednesday we will begin to read "The Dot", a story that tells what happens to one small dot.  The story will introduce the children to the great artist Georges Seurat, whose paintings are all made with tiny dots.  The skills for this week are inflected endings er and est and digraph ea.

NEW VOCABULARY:

 SPELLING:

              (These are the words that will be assigned on Wednesday).

             treat       beach        clean         lean           *colors           *sign

MATHEMATICS:

We will finish our chapter on subtraction and begin a study of graphing:  picture graphs and bar graphs.  Keep studying those subtraction facts.
