WHAT WILL WE LEARN THIS WEEK? LANGUAGE ARTS "The Farmer in the Hat" is our story this week. The reading skills are long a (CVCe) and the soft sounds of c /s/ and g /j/. The Saxon Phonics skills are i consonant e, e consonant e, contractions, and the soft sounds of c /s/ and g /j/. We have started 2-minute timed drills for the addition facts. Please help your child learn these facts. SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE: We are talking about the three observances in November. On November 3 we will talk about our freedom to vote. On November 11 we will discuss Veterans' Day and our thanks and respect to the military. For the entire month of November we will learn about the first Thanksgiving and what it means to us.
