Pre-AP World Cultures and Geography Pre-Advanced Placement World Cultures and Geography

This pre-AP level course is the first year of a two year AP World History course. It provides students with the opportunity to study at an advanced level the interaction of peoples and cultures across time, geographical regions, and with their physical environments. Students will explore the various historical regions of the pre-modern world including their physical geography, history, political culture, economic conditions, and intellectual accomplishments including religion. Emphasis is centered on higher order thinking and writing skills to introduce students to Advanced Placement structures, strategies, and expectations. All strategies and skills are based on the Subject Guide for AP World History.
