This course is designed to prepare students for the Advanced Placement examination in Statistics. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. Students are exposed to four broad themes: exploring data, planning a study, anticipating patterns in advance using probability and simulation, and statistical inference. This math class is recommended for students interested in college majors of history, politics, law, economics, and business.
